Michael Downey, Esq.

This program will assist lawyers as they navigate ethical issues that are part of any law practice.  Our speaker is Michael Downey, Esq., a legal ethics lawyer and founder of Downey Law Group, LLC.  Downey Law Group, LLC is a firm devoted to legal ethics, lawyer discipline defense and the law of lawyering. 

Michael has taught professional responsibility at Washington University and St. Louis University, presented on legal ethics more than 450 times, and published a book and more than 150 articles on legal ethics and law practice issues. Michael has also been recognized as a “Top 50 Lawyer in St. Louis” for 2015 and 2016 by Super Lawyers, and was named a 2014 “Most Influential Lawyer” by Missouri Lawyers Weekly as the “go-to legal ethics lawyer in Missouri.”  

This program will run from 12:30 PM to 2:10 PM and will qualify for 2.0 MO Ethics CLE credits.

Fee:  $25 for general public. Free for members of the Law Library Association and Saint Louis University Law School students and faculty.
