Judge Barbara Wallace

This program will provide attorneys with evidence basics to refresh your knowledge of the issues to be considered in order to get documents, pictures and testimony admitted into evidence.  You will learn an approach to analyze all evidence issues. The program will touch on the concepts of foundation, relevancy, hearsay and its exceptions, objections, and impeachment. Suitable for newer and more experienced practitioners. 

Fee: $25 for non-members of the Law Library Association. Free for Library Members and students and faculty at Saint Louis University School of Law.

Our speaker is the Honorable Barbara Wallace. Judge Wallace was appointed  as a Circuit Judge in the 21st Judicial District (Saint Louis County) in 1995. She took senior status in 2017. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at Saint Louis University School of Law from 2009-2015, teaching Trial Advocacy.  Judge Wallace taught evidence to Missouri judges at annual New Judge Orientation and Judicial Colleges from 2004 through 2017. Prior to being appointed to the bench, she worked at a private firm with a focus on litigation. She also clerked for the Honorable James Clemons of the Missouri Court of Appeals.  She received her undergraduate degree in Economics and her J.D. from Washington University.
