Join us to see two connected exhibits focused on slavery. Slavery in St. Louis is a traveling exhibit created by the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site. The Freedom Suits is an exhibit created for the Law Library Association by the Missouri State Archives.

Join Us for a Special Juneteenth event on "The Milly Project"

Join us for a screening of “The Milly Project,” an award-winning film adaptation of a play that tells the true story of an enslaved women named Milly Sawyers who fought for and legally won her freedom in Springfield, MO before the Civil War. This special Juneteeth event is co-sponsored by the Law Library Association of St. Louis and the Freedom Suits Memorial Foundation.
