A group of hands reading towards the scale of justice.

The Law Library Association of St. Louis has just been awarded a grant from the St. Louis Bar FoundationWith this grant, we will expand access to justice for our Spanish-speaking community!

What this grant means to us:

We will be using this funding to formally translate four of our most-used pro se resources into Spanish, a language native to many of our patrons and community-members.

  • Resources for Free and Reduced Cost Legal Services in Missouri
  • Resources for Free or Reduced Cost Civil Legal Services in Illinois
  • A Guide to Representing Yourself in Court
  • Free Legal Clinics for Federal Pro Se Cases
  • All of these resources can be found here: https://llastl.org/legal-websites

Beyond our library, these materials are widely distributed through public libraries and community service agencies. This grant helps us ensure that all individuals can better navigate the legal system throughout the St. Louis community!

A message to us from the St. Louis Bar Foundation upon granting us this award,

“Congratulations on receiving this grant, and we look forward to witnessing the positive impact of your work in our community.”

We’re grateful to the St. Louis Bar Foundation for supporting this important step toward accessibility and inclusion in legal information for our patrons and community members of all backgrounds!
